1. 18th Annual Migration Fest
When: Saturday, September 21
Where: Lehigh Gap Nature Center

Attend this free event where ecology and nature are celebrated. Activities include:
- Live reptiles and bugs
- Guided nature walks
- Children’s crafts and local crafts
- Local food vendors
- Field trip to Bake Oven Knob Hawk Watch to see the migration!

2. Allentown Artsfest 2019
When: Friday–Sunday, September 27–29
Where: Cedar Beach Park
Free to the public September 27–29, 11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m., this festival has something for everyone in the family! There are three stages with local music to entertain a variety of tastes. In addition to music, there are comedy and improv shows, breakdance competitions, and graffiti murals. Local artists are on hand to sell their artwork. Enjoy the food from local vendors and take in the art that Allentown has to offer!
3. Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival
When: Friday–Sunday, September 27–29
Where: 305 Conestoga St., Bethlehem, PA 18018
The end of September is the beginning of all things festive! The Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival is free to the public, as it has been for 31 years. With over 280,000 visitors over the weekend, this festival is known for immersing attendees into the Celtic culture with food, music, performances, and activities for all.
4. Just For Kids! Native American Heritage Day
When: Saturday, October 5
Where: Museum of Indian Culture
Learn all about Native American culture with this respectful and educational experience that you and the kids will enjoy. There are all sorts of crafts that the kids will love making, while they learn about the historical roots of the Native American culture. Some crafts include:
- Fun with clay
- Finger weaving
- Dreamcatchers

5. Farm Fest
When: Saturday–Sunday, October 5–6
Where: Lehigh Valley Zoo
This two-day event provides a meet-and-greet with farm animals from 10:30–11:30 a.m. for your kids to enjoy. There’s also a DJ from noon until 2:00 p.m. to keep the party going!
6. Boo at the Zoo
When: Saturday–Sunday, October 19–20 OR Saturday–Sunday, October 26–27
Where: Lehigh Valley Zoo
This Halloween event is the perfect autumn outing for the family. Animals wander about — with supervision — for the children to enjoy. Music is provided throughout the day as well! And if you missed the first weekend, don’t worry. Boo at the Zoo comes twice in October!
7. Trunk or Treat
When: Sunday, October 27
Where: America on Wheels
From 1:00–3:00 p.m., take your kids on an early trick-or-treating session. Kids can come in costume and decorate their own treat bags, then collect candy around the museum! Children under 12 are free, $6 for students (13–16), $8 for seniors (62+), and $10 for adults. You won’t want to miss this fright-tastic event!
8. PA Bacon Fest
When: Saturday–Sunday, November 2–3
Where: Centre Square, Easton, PA
With over 80,000 guests visiting over the weekend, this festival has more than 150 food vendors and more than 15 musical acts across two stages. And that’s not all. There are also cooking competitions, food demonstrations, hog-calling competitions, and even a bacon-eating contest!
